Water Board now safe for drinking, provides contacts to report leakages, others

The management of the Cross River State Water Board Limited, CRSWBL has said that public water supply is now fit for human consumption and domestic use.

This was revealed on Wednesday 10 January 2023 through a press statement signed by Elder Roger Emori, Director, Public Relations/Corporate Communications, for the Management.

According to the statement, the board has treated, tested and analysed the water to meet international standards.

The board also provided dedicated phone lines for consumers to report all cases of leakages, vandalisation, illegal connections and metre theft.

“Following our earlier Press Releases and our promise to officially announce to the public when our water is confirmed fit and ready for human consumption, the Cross River State Water Board Limited, after a thorough check, test and analysis, is pleased to inform all our esteemed customers, clients and the general public that our water is well treated, clean and safe for human and domestic consumption. Therefore, DRINK IT AND USE IT.

“The Board reiterates her commitment to providing safe. clean and sustainable urban and semi-urban water supply in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal-6, by the year 2030 and His Excellency Senator Bassey Otu’s People First Agenda.

“In order to serve you better, we hereby welcome your continuous patronage and solicit your direct cooperation by reporting all cases of leakages, vandalisation, illegal connections and meter theft through the following phone numbers: 08038707271, 08094838885 or 08065030191,” the statement read.
