‘Withdrawal of Natasha’s security details by Akpabio exposed her to be killed’, former Adamawa lawmaker, Elisha Abbo claims

The former senator who represented Adamawa North senatorial district, Elisha Abbo, has corroborated claims by the suspended Kogi Central senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, that Senate President Godswill Akpabio had orchestrated plans for her to be killed.

Abbo, who was a guest on Arise TV PrimeTime programme on Wednesday night, accused Akpabio of exposing Natasha to serious danger including being killed by ordering the withdrawal of her security details while announcing her suspension from the Senate following an altercation.

Abbo insisted that the decision of the Senate President was not just an act of intimidation but a political bias and high handedness.

While speaking on the allegations by the embattled Natasha that Akpabio, Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo and former Governor Yahaya Bello had planned to kill her, Abbo said:

“In the case of Natasha, it took a different dimension. He (Akpabio) sat like the emperor that he claims he is and said the woman should be suspended for six months, withdrew her security, stopped payment of her salary, barred her from being seen near the National Assembly building, and even ordered the Inspector General of Police not to provide her with security.

“In another way, he exposed her to be killed. The IG realised that it was not a good thing to do because if tomorrow they hear that Natasha is killed, something will happen.

“In the 8th Senate, Akpabio had a verbal exchange with the Senate President, Saraki and was not suspended.

“If Akpabio was not suspended because of a seat in the 8th Assembly, why are you suspending Natasha for six months if your only motivation is because of a seat?” he added.
