The largest sovereign wealth fund in the world is increasingly strengthening its Greek asset holdings, providing a strong vote of confidence in the prospects of local securities.
Norges Bank Investment Management, which essentially invests Norway’s state funds, has invested 820 million euros in Greek companies, with investments in 41 securities, with Trade Estates set to be the 42nd.
It also holds Greek government bonds worth €11 million. With a total value exceeding €1.7 trillion and with investments in stocks, bonds, real estate and renewable energy infrastructure in 70 countries, Norges Bank has had a steady presence in Greece since 2001.
