Barely five days to the 2023 Ballon d’Or and it has already been revealed that Lionel Messi will allegedly cart away the ultimate prize.
If Fabrizio Romano is right as he is always right, then Messi will win his 8th Ballon d’Or this year.
The Argentina International will then cement his place as the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), even though he can still win up to 10 – all they have to do is give him the next two.
According to Romano, the LA Galaxy star is expected to win the 2023 Ballon d’Or on October 30, 2023, in Paris, France.
The football informant revealed this on X (Twitter) on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, adding that the official decision will be taken in Paris.
“Leo Messi, expected to win the Ballon d’Or 2023.
“Understand all the indications are set to be confirmed but Messi will be the final winner once again.
“Official decision to be unveiled Monday night in Paris.
“It will be Messi’s historical 8th Ballon d’Or,” Romano tweeted.

However, many have argued that the award should go to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland for winning the treble and emerging top scorer in the Premier League and Europe as well.
Some are of the notion that it should be given to Haaland’s teammate, Kevin De Bruyne who was fantastic last season.
But, supporters of Messi said he won the FIFA World Cup, so, he should be given to prize.

Messi’s Argentine teammate, Julian Alvarez won the FIFA World Cup as well as a treble with Manchester City, UEFA Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup. “Why not give it to him”, many argued.
