July 12, 2024, marked the St. Paisios festively celebrated on 30th anniversary of his reposeToday, St. Paisios is a greatly beloved, universally venerated saint, with churches dedicated to him throughout the Orthodox world.
“>30th anniversary of his repose. He is buried at the Monastery of St. John the Theologian in Souroti, outside Thessaloniki, which he founded, next to the church named for St. Arsenios the Cappadocian, who baptized the future saint in his infancy.
Every year, thousands of pilgrims fill the monastery on the eve of his feast, coming to venerate his relics throughout the night.
