In furtherance of the ARISE Agenda, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, recently inspected the proposed site for the Ibom Model Farm located at Ikot Edibon, Nsit Ubium LGA.
He expressed appreciation for the pace of work and commended the Community for donating the land for the agricultural project.
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Offiong Offor, her counterpart in the Ministry of Lands, Capt. Iniobong Ekong rtd. accompanied His Excellency on the inspection tour.
Ibom Model Farm, which is a partnership project between the State Government and Shongai Initiative, will showcase the agricultural potentials of Akwa Ibom, create employment opportunities, serve as a training ground for agripreneurs, amongst other benefits to the state.

Recall that that the State had earlier in August 2023, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Songhai Initiative for the management of a model farm in the State.
