3 million apply for NDDC Youth Internship Scheme

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has stated that 3 million persons successfully registered for the Youth Internship Scheme (NYIS).

This was disclosed by Sir Victor Antai, NDDC Executive Director of Projects, on Monday.

Antai stated this after South Bridge Enterprises Systems Ltd., the consultant handling the online registration portal, handed over the database to NDDC.

The Commission further transmitted the database to Angala Fintech, the consultant to oversee the selection of beneficiaries.

“Once the selection of the 10,000 youths is completed, the Commission will publish the shortlisted beneficiaries,” Antai maintained.

CONVERSEER reports that the programme is for indigenes of the nine Niger Delta states; Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Edo, Ondo, Abia and Imo.
