The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has awarded Pinn Margaret Secondary Commercial School, Calabar as the best Public Secondary School in the Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) in Nigeria.
The award is referred to as the WAEC/Vertebra Merit Award.
According to the certificate signed by Dr Amos Josiah Dangut, WAEC Head of National Service, Pinn Margaret Secondary Commercial School won the WAEC/Vertebra Merit Award in WASSCE for School Candidates, 2022.
The Certificate for Outstanding Performance which was spotted by CONVERSEER on Tuesday read:
“This Certificate is presented to Pinn Margaret Secondary Commercial School, Calabar, Cross River State as the winner of the WAEC/Vertebra Merit Award for emerging the best Public Secondary School in Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) in Nigeria in WASSCE for School Candidates, 2022.”

CONVERSEER reports that the school was given the award at the WAEC Distinction/Merit Awards for WASSCE (SC) 2022 ceremony which was held on the 16th November 2023 at Ta’al Luxury Hotel, Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Pinn Margaret Secondary Commercial School is located at Yellow Duke Street, Idim Ita, Calabar, Cross River State.
