18-Year-Old Tricked Alleged Kidnappers by Saying She's Ordering Pizza While Calling 911, Police Report from Washington State Reveals

An 18-year-old woman stuck in a car with accused kidnappers told them she was ordering pizza as she called 911 in Washington state, police said.

The woman was with her 17-year-old cousin when they met up with two men to get marijuana before 1 a.m. on Jan. 6, the Seattle Police Department said in a probable cause statement.

Timothy Armstrong, 39, and Jamir Mayfield, 23, picked the two up, police said.

Police said the 18-year-old then took a hit of a joint, which she said “made her feel differently than weed usually does.”

Armstrong and Mayfield then asked the cousins to hand them both of their phones to play music, but the 18-year-old kept her younger cousin’s phone, police said.

She said she was using it to order pizza, but instead called 911 at 1:32 a.m. and told the operator she “couldn’t speak freely,” police said.

She then told the two men she wanted to get out of the vehicle to pee, but they told her to “shut up,” police said.

Armstrong and Mayfield flashed their guns and said “You see this? You wanna get popped?” the teen told police.

Once they parked, the men grabbed her to come with them, but she said her dad was on the phone, police said.

She told police she watched Armstrong, Mayfield and her cousin go into a building.

The 18-year-old got her cousin’s location and shared it with police who arrested Armstrong and Mayfield, authorities said.

Armstrong was found with a gun, police said.

The 17-year-old told her cousin they had tried to take her clothes off in the apartment and told her the marijuana had been laced with acid, police said.

Both men were arrested and charged with second-degree kidnapping. Their bails were set at $200,000.
