#AFCON2023: Troost-Ekong, Williams win Best Player, Goalkeeper

Nigerian defender, William Troost-Ekong has been awarded the best player (Player of the Tournament) at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast. He scored 3 goals and kept 4 clean sheets.

South African goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams was also awarded the Golden Globe (Best Goalkeeper) award. He kept 5 clean sheets and saved 4 penalties in one match and 6 in total.

Meanwhile, Emilio Nsue of Equitoral Guinea won the Golden Boot (Top Goalscorer) with his 5 goals in the tournament.

The Fair Play award went to South Africa for their composure throughout the tournament.

South Africa won the 3rd place while Nigeria and Ivory Coast won the 2nd and 1st place.
