Mother of 4 diagnosed with breast cancer cries for help in Cross River

A mother of four children, Grace Godswill Lekam, is calling for help from good Samaritans after being medically diagnosed with breast cancer.

Grace, 30, who hails from Ugep in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State, said that she initially felt a lump in her left breast.

She said she “Went to a chemist (medicine patent shop) and took drugs, but the situation did not improve.”

She then went to the hospital in Calabar, the state capital, where it was discovered that she had cancer.

She further disclosed that after undergoing chemotherapy twice, her family has been unable to raise funds for her third and fourth chemotherapy sessions before surgery.

“I am appealing for help”, she pleaded for help to undergo treatment.
