The Cross River State Civil Service Commission has released a summary of job applications based on Local Government Area (LGA) and job positions for the ongoing 2024 recruitment exercise.
According to a statement released by the Commission on Thursday, the 2nd level analysis reports of the ongoing recruitment exercise capture a total of 32,341 persons who applied for 500 positions in the main service across the 18 LGAs of the state.
The summary is tabulated into three, with Medical Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Nutritionists, Medical Laboratory Scientists, and Fire Service listed in Table 1.
Table 2 has Account Officers, Admin, Budget, Procurement, Planning and Statistics, while Table 3 has Information Officers, Data, Clerical, Messengers, Security/Watch, and Drivers.
The tables also show the breakdown of the applicants, based on their Local Government Areas of origin and job positions.

“Apart from giving the Commission an overview tool in processing the job applications, this analysis will surely serve as a Database for the Commission’s engagement with other employers of labour, subsequently.
“By next week, the Commission will move into the final phase of the SHORTLISTING and thereafter, schedule physical interview sessions of the shortlisted applicants, cadre by cadre. These sessions may span through two or three weeks, depending on the exigencies,” Sir Maurice Effiwatt, the Commission’s Chairman, said in a statement.
