Season of Sweetness: DPPME, DBME and DOPT get new facelift

The Department of Projects/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPPME) and of Budget Monitoring and Evaluation (DBME), as well as the Department of Public Transportation (DOPT), has gotten a new look through the transformation agenda of Governor Bassey Otu tagged “Season Of Sweetness.”

Recall that upon assumption of office, His Excellency, Governor Bassey Edet Otu immediately took off with fixing of roads and executing projects across the state, with many government offices being built, remodelled and upgraded to standard.

Some of the buildings and offices undergoing remodelling and upgrading by the Sweetness Governor include the Governor’s Office, State Library, Presidential Lodge, Governor and Deputy Governor’s Lodges, Local Government Service Commission, and Governor Lodge – GRA Ogoja, to mention a few.

As the litany of projects continues to spread out from the fresh air that comes with the rain of season of sweetness, the Department of Projects/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation, Department of Budget Monitoring and Evaluation and Public Transportation has also cut the salt of sweetness from His Excellency’s transformation agenda and now takes a new face.

In a short interview with the Special Adviser to the Governor on Projects/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr Raphael Morphy, he said this is just an iceberg from the many projects that are going to be executed by the Sweet Prince administration.

According to Morphy, Governor Otu has promised to complete all the state’s own projects from the past administration and also give the state a facelift, such that would make both local and foreign investors to come stay and do business.

The Special Adviser further says he has always known the governor to be a man of his word and that Cross Rivarians can begin to see the evidence from the ongoing projects, which some are between 50 to 99% completed, while others are completed and ready for commissioning.
