Speed Darlington arrest

L-R: Speed Darlington, His Mother Miss Queen and Burna Boy

Following the arrest of singer Arondizuogu Akpi, aka Speed Darlington, on Saturday, his mother, Miss Queen, has come out to appeal to fellow singer Burna Boy to please forgive her son.

Recall that Speed Darlington’s neighbours, on Monday, came out to report on social media that the singer had been missing since Saturday.

Findings by CONVERSEER reveal that Akpi has not posted on his Instagram for a while, including on his status.

Netizens on social media on Monday called out Burna Boy, accusing him of being involved in the disappearance of Darlington.

On his X account on Tuesday morning, Burna Boy posted “7 is Real,” adding in another post that, “Who’s missing?”

However, a four-minute video spotted by our Reporter shows Akpi’s mother begging Burna Boy to forgive his son.

“Burna Boy came with his team to pick up my son because of a video he made. He is my only son; please forgive him,” Speed Darlington’s mother said while on her knees.

She said, “Good day, everyone. Good day, Nigerians. My name is Miss Quern, I am Darlington’s mother. I just got information that my son is missing. Speed Darlington is missing.

“His gate man called my family and notified my family that there’s a video Darlington made and put on the Internet about Burna Boy.

“So, he notified my family that Burna boy came with his team and they picked the Darlington up from his house.

“Please, please, Darlington is my only son. Darlington is the one and only son I have.

“I am begging my fellow Nigerians, please, everyone should help me to beg. Burna Boy, please, my name is Miss Queen. Burna Boy, I’m begging you.

“My knees are on the ground, please, I am begging you, Burna Boy. Temper justice with mercy, please. Have mercy on my son. Forgive him, please.

“Burna Boy, I’m on my knees, I’m begging, forgive Darlington. I am begging Nigerians, please come to Darlington’s aid.

“All Nigerians and Darlington’s family should join me to beg. This is me, Darlington’s biological mother. I don’t know what to say other than I am begging.

“I’m a grandmother, I’m a mother. Please, he’s my only son. Forgive him. I’m just asking for forgiveness, please, Burna Boy, please.

“All Darlington’s fans out there, please join me to beg Burna Boy for the release of Darlington.

“May it touch your heart to release him. Forgive him, please.”
