Texas, U.S. – Senator Ted Cruz of Texas has reaffirmed his support for Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry during a recent statement, declaring that Republicans plan to “unleash crypto.”
Cruz expressed pride in being the sole U.S. Senator actively involved in Bitcoin mining, with three mining rigs operating in West Texas.
“Texas is an oasis for Bitcoin,” he stated, emphasising the state’s crypto-friendly policies and infrastructure.
He urged the cryptocurrency community to view Texas as a haven for innovation and growth, aligning with his broader advocacy for decentralised finance and blockchain technology.
“…And I’ll tell you what, we [Republicans] are also going to unleash crypto.
“I’m proud to stand with crypto. I’m proud to stand with Bitcoin.
“I am the only member of the United States Senate who is, in fact, a Bitcoin miner.
“I’ve got three miners hashing in West Texas right now, and it is beautiful.
“Let me say to all the crypto and all the bitcoin, come to Texas,” Cruz said.
Cruz’s remarks highlight the ongoing debate in the U.S. over cryptocurrency regulation and its role in the financial system.
