A new parish community has been established in the southwestern French city of Pau.
This parish, part of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia’s Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe, is dedicated to St. John (Maximovitch) of San Francisco, who was previously the local ruling hierarch, according to the diocese.
The formation of this community was “in response to the requests of the faithful and in recognition of the clear missionary need for enhanced activity in the area, where many wish to grow closer to God and connect with His Holy Church.”
Currently, the new parish is working to secure a venue for regular services. Meanwhile, details about the service schedule and locations can be found on the parish’s Telegram channel.
