On Tuesday, left-wing protesters repeatedly disrupted the confirmation hearing of Pete Hegseth, who President Donald Trump nominated for Secretary of Defense.
The protesters, some associated with the self-described feminist organization Code Pink, were ejected from the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.
Video of the protesters was posted on X.
A second video posted on X showed another protester screaming as security carried him out of the hearing.
In photos posted on X, the protesters can be seen carrying signs that read, “NO HEGSETH, NO CHRISTIAN JIHAD,” and “NO HEGSETH, NO RELIGIOUS EXTREMIST.”
Both signs also read, “CODEPINK” at the bottom. According to the organization’s website, Code Pink is “a feminist grassroots organization working to end U.S. warfare and imperialism, support peace and human rights initiatives, and redirect resources into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming* programs.”
