Nigeria’s home-based Super Eagles have been drawn in Group D alongside defending champions Senegal, Congo and Sudan for 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The draw ceremony for the tournament took place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi, Kenya on Wednesday night.
CHAN is played strictly by players who ply their trade in the local leagues of the continent.
The home-based Eagles are making a return to the biennial competition after a six-year absence.
The competition being co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, have 19 teams distributed into four groups, with two qualifying spots yet to be claimed.
Group A includes Kenya, Morocco, Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.

In Group B are Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso and Central African Republic.
Group C has Uganda, Niger and Guinea. They will be joined later by two other teams.
The competition which was earlier billed to take place in February has now been postponed to August, 2025 by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The reason for postponement is that the facilities to be used by the host nations are not yet at the levels necessary for a successful tournament, according to a statement by the football body.
