Benue Man Allegedly Takes His Own Life After Selling the Same Plot of Land to Three Different Buyers

A man identified as Tartor Ayihe allegedly committed suicide in Benue State. 

 

A Facebook user, Agba Jay, who confirmed the incident on his page, said the deceased consumed a poisonous substance suspected to be sniper on Wednesday evening, January 15, 2025. 

 

According to Agba, shortly before taking his life, the deceased was questioned for allegedly selling a plot of land to three different persons. 

 

“A young man by name Mr Tartor Ayihe from Ayihe Village committed suicide by taking snipper earlier this evening after selling a plot of land to three different persons whom all assembled for enquiry at the Chiefs (Zaki’s Residence),” he wrote.

“He left the gathering with an excuse to get something in the house, he rather went to three different shops in search of sniper. 

“He succeeded and went home, switched off his phone and drank the whole bottle of sniper. 

“Having waited for him for a long time, the chief sent people to his house where it was discovered he drank sniper. 

“He died on arrival at the hospital.”
