It was gathered that Adeniyi took his own life after having dinner.

An unconfirmed report stated that the deceased, who had been battling mental health challenges and had previously undergone treatment, is survived by two wives and three children.

It was further learnt that one of Adeniyi’s children was set to get married in a month.

The body was recovered from the well and has since been deposited at a morgue.

The Head of Public Relations and Communication Unit at FMC Abeokuta, Segun Orisajo, who confirmed the incident expressed the hospital management’s deep sorrow.

“It is true that he committed suicide. It was an unfortunate incident. The management feels saddened about this development,” Orisajo said.

He described the late Adeniyi as a hardworking and loyal staff member whose sudden death came as a shock to everyone at the hospital.
