The news making the rounds that Mayorkun’s second pendant (carrying his face) has been found is true but the good samaritan who found it is yet to be compensated.
Former aide to former Governor Ben Ayade, Effiong Ekpenyong aka Double E took to social media to announce that the singer’s second pendant was presented to him by Duke Emmanuel at the Hit 95.9 FM Calabar studio on Thursday.
“Mayorkun second pendant found, thanks to Duke Emmanuel of Hit Fm and to the young man who returned it thank you and God bless…,” Ekpenyong wrote on Facebook.
Findings by CONVERSEER revealed that Stanley Bassey, a University of Calabar, UNICAL student who found and returned the pendant has not been compensated.
Recall that Mayorkun, formally known as Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel pledged a N5 million reward to anyone who returns the pendant.
Fellow singer, Iyanya, formally known as Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, also pledged a $500 reward for the said jewellery.

However, Calabar-based Influencer, Nsikak Ibatt, said the student who found the pendant has not been paid.
Replying to Iyanya, Ibatt said: “You guys should stop this. This guy that returned the pendant has not received a denarii. His name is Sunday Stephen Bassey, a UNICAL student.
“These screenshots prove that he hasn’t been paid.
“Iyanya drop evidence that this dude has been paid let’s see.”

According to the screenshots from Ibatt, our Reporter learned that Bassey’s contact was only taken but he has not been compensated either from Mayorkun or Iyanya.
CONVERSEER reports that Mayorkun lost his two pendants (jewellery) while performing at the Carnival Calabar Festival Mega Concert at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar on Monday night.
Iyanya who pleaded for the return revealed that one of the pendants with the inscription “Mayor of Lagos” was found and returned to a hotel in Calabar on Tuesday.
