Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers killed a former local government staff and abducted a petrol attendant in Iseyin town, Oyo State.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed a petroleum station at Saw Mill Road, along Iseyin-Saki Road on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, and demanded to see the owner identified as Alhaji Nuremi ‘Composer’ but he was not around.
One of the attendants told the kidnappers that her boss had traveled and out of anger, they decided to take the young lady instead.
The deceased, simply known as Ayanladun, who was attending a service at a nearby Redeemed Church, went to collect his phone that he plugged to charge in the petrol station and met the kidnappers attempting to whisk the attendant away.
Ayanladun was said to have attempted to rescue her before he was shot in the belly.
The gunmen also shot the security officer at the petroleum station.
The victim is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Iseyin.
