Suspected Serial Thief Arrested in Kogi

The Kogi State Vigilante Service (KSVS) has arrested serial thief, Lamidi Amoto Lucky, at Inorere Ogaminana in Adavi Local Government Area of the state.

 

 

Operatives of the KSVS Adavi Command apprehended the suspect on the 27th of January, 2025, at approximately 0400 hours.

Spokesperson of KSVS, S.O.Saka, who disclosed this in a statement in Lokoja on Friday, January 31, said the suspect was found in possession of two Butterfly sewing machines, which raised suspicion of theft.

 

“Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to stealing the sewing machines from Ihima in Okehi LGA. Further investigation revealed that he had also stolen additional items, including: one sewing machine, Itel A60 and Oppo Android phones, one (1) gasoline grinding engine, one (1) 3kg gas cylinder, three (3) 6-yard wrappers, two (2) cooking pots, two (2) bed sheets, a few shirts.

 

“All stolen items were successfully recovered by the Vigilante operatives.

 

“The suspect, along with the recovered exhibits, has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Adavi Division, for further investigation and necessary legal action.

 

“The Kogi State Vigilante Service urges members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies to enhance the safety and security of our communities.”
