Cordelia Okonye, the mother of Augusta Osedion who was k!lled in 2023, visited her grave site to be with her on what would have been her 23rd birthday on Monday, February 3.
Augusta was found m#rdered in July 2023 and her boyfriend Benjamin Best, aka Killaboi, confessed to the m#rder on social media.
Taking to social media to share photos of herself at the grave site, Okonye wrote;
“I MADE A PROMISE TO YEARLY GIVE YOU FLOWERS ON YOUR BIRTHDAY AND ANY YEAR YOU DID NOT SEE IT THEN JUST KNOW THAT I HAVE JOINED YOU. I LOVE YOU FOREVER.
You bought the dress on me when you were 17 years and cake too. The first cake I ever cut at 49 years. Then you were working with Naija beauty hair and Vicky will pay you after shaking your head. You saved it and did my first birthday. I will forever mark your birthday with you in your temporarily resting place. JUST KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU FOREVER” she wrote on her IG page as she shared photos from the visit

Killaboi fled Nigeria and was declared wanted by the Nigerian authorities. He was eventually caught in Sierra Leone, having changed his identity and purchased a new passport. He was arrested by Sierra Leonian authorities but nothing came out of his arrest.
He is still a free man and has even been posting about her lifestyle on social media.
