FAO Enhances Collaboration with Côte d’Ivoire to Attain Food Security by 2030

The new FAO representative in Côte d’Ivoire, Mr Joseph Nyemah, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Ivorian government in developing the agricultural sector to achieve food security by 2030.

The UN diplomat made this known on Thursday during the presentation of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad, Mr Léon Kacou Adom.

The presentation allows the Ivorian authorities to officially acknowledge his appointment.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) particularly supports Côte d’Ivoire’s ambition to ensure food security and achieve food sovereignty by 2030.

His appointment solidifies his mandate to contribute to climate change actions and strengthen cooperation between the Ivorian government and the FAO to promote a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient agricultural sector.
