Britain’s Most Notorious Rapist to Be Deported to Indonesia to Complete 40-Year Sentence After Committing 159 Sexual Assaults on 48 Men

Britain’s most prolific r@pist is facing deportation to Indonesia to serve the remainder of his 40-year prison sentence for 159 sx attacks against 48 men.Reynhard Sinaga, 41, was found guilty in Manchester in 2020 of drugging and raping scores of young men after taking them back to his apartment from bars and clubs. The Indonesian student would pose as a ‘Good Samaritan’ to men who had become separated from their friends on nights before taking them back to his flat, where he carried out 136 rapes between January 2015 to May 2017.After being jailed in 2020 for life with a minimum term of 40 years, Sinaga has been held in HMP Wakefield.  He was allegedly attacked in July by a fellow inmate – only narrowly managing to avoid serious injuries. Indonesia’s senior minister for law and human rights affairs, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, said over the weekend that Sinaga could be returned to the country through a prisoner transfer or through an exchange with a British prisoner jailed in Indonesia.’No matter how wrong a citizen is, the country has the obligation to defend its citizen,’ Mr Yusril said. ‘It’s not an easy job for us,’ he said, adding there are many things that need to be negotiated with the British government. The British embassy in Jakarta said on Saturday it does not have a prisoner transfer agreement with Indonesia, which would usually be required to transfer any prisoner from the country. Indonesia is also looking at ways to repatriate Riduan Isamuddin, better known as Hambali, who was accused of being involved in deadly terror attacks including the 2002 Bali bombings.Mr Sinaga’s wealthy family have met with the ministry’s representative to seek his repatriation. If the British government agrees to his return he would be jailed in a maximum security prison, Mr Yusril said. ‘Otherwise, he will cause new problems.’Sinaga, who has been in the UK since 2007, targeted young men aged from 18 to 36 but the average age was 21, Manchester Crown Court was told. Most were students and some were still at school, including the sixth former whose escape from his clutches led to Sinaga being arrested. His crimes came to light in June 2017 after his final victim, an 18-year-old rugby player, woke up during the assault and fought off Sinaga. The post Britain’s most prolific rapist faces deportation to Indonesia to serve remainder of 40 year jail sentence after carrying out 159 sx attacks on 48differentmen appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
