Fans are accusing Shakira of copying Beyonc’s “Renaissance” tour for her own “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” world tour after photos from the Colombian singer’s first stop in Rio de Janeiro emerged online. Many quickly pointed out the striking similarities between the two performances, particularly the visual elements and wardrobe choices. 
In one image, Shakira used a large screen displaying her image and the title of her tour, which resembled Beyonc’s RENAISSANCE screen from her 2023 tour. Additionally, Shakira featured a massive metallic wolf on stage, a concept fans found comparable to the giant silver horse Beyonc used during her performances. Shakiras dancers were also dressed in silver attire, much like Beyoncs dancers and fans were throughout her own tour. Some fans on social media accused Shakira of plagiarism, with one user tweeting, Shakira said they were studying Beyonc but they actually ripped everything that wasnt nailed to the floor omg. Others suggested that Beyonc’s team should take legal action, calling it more than just inspiration. However, some fans defended Shakira, claiming she was simply inspired by Beyonc, as she had mentioned attending the “Renaissance” tour and taking notes. Shakira had previously said in an interview that she was working and taking notes during her time at a “Renaissance” tour show in Tampa, Florida.
