Reginae Carter Defends Lil Wayne Against Critics of ‘SNL 50’ Performance

Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, has fired back at critics of her father’s performance during ‘SNL 50,’ especially those comparing it to Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl set.

The Young Money rapper was joined by The Roots for a medley of his classic hits at Radio Music City Hall over the weekend, facing off with Miley Cyrus.

Reginae was clearly not pleased with the negative responses flooding her timeline and took to The Shade Room to defend her dad. She pointed out that Lil Wayne not only delivered an incredible performance, but also earned a substantial paycheck for the night.

While some fans argued that Wayne’s ‘SNL’ performance justified his alleged snub from the Super Bowl, Reginae reminded them that ‘SNL 50’ is a much more lucrative gig, as Super Bowl performers are not paid for their appearances.

Fans can look forward to more from Wayne as he’s set to drop his much-anticipated “Tha Carter VI” album this summer.
