Set aside personal grievances and co-parent with love – FCT police PPRO decries negative impact of broken marriage on children’s wellbeing

The spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, has decried the negative impact of broken marriages on children’s well-being.

In a post on X at the weekend, the PPRO advised couples to set aside personal grievances and co-parent amicably if their marriage can’t work.

“The rise in broken marriages is alarming, but the most heartbreaking part is the impact on children. Too often, their well-being is overlooked in conflicts they never chose,” she wrote.

“If the marriage can’t work, co-parenting must be a priority. Set aside personal grievances and come together for their sake. A broken home shouldn’t mean a broken childhood. Let’s do better.”
