Arsenal transfer insider Charles Watts has dismissed speculation linking Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen with a move to Mikel Arteta’s squad this summer.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been in lethal form this season, scoring 22 goals and providing five assists in 28 matches. With Napoli open to selling him for around €75 million, top European clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain, are reportedly keeping tabs on the Nigerian forward.
The Gunners are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus ruled out until next season due to injuries. Many fans and pundits have suggested Osimhen or Newcastle’s Alexander Isak as ideal solutions to Arsenal’s striking concerns.
Osimhen is currently leading Galatasaray’s charge for the title
Despite doubts over his future, Osimhen remains instrumental for Galatasaray, playing a key role in their push for the Turkish Super Lig title. His goals have helped Okan Buruk’s side maintain a four-point lead over Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe.
