The police in Lagos state have rescued three Nigerians identified as Umezulike Joseph, Eze Theodorah, and Rosemary Ogwulu, who were abducted along the Lekki-Epe Expressway area of the state on Friday, March 7.
The victims visited the area to inspect a land they intended to buy. They were about to get into their car when five armed men approached them and whisked them away.
The state police were immediately alerted and the officers were able to trace the suspects to their hideout around the forest region of the expressway. The suspects fled the scene and abandoned their victims..
The victims have since been reunited with their families.
