Daughter of ailing police officer warns other officers against letting the government use them to go after protesting youths as she shares her father’s experience (video)

A woman claiming to be the daughter of an ailing retired police officer has warned security personnels to avoid standing with the government against the citizen as she shares her father’s story.

It appears some Nigerian youths are planning a “30 days movement” campaign which will see them use their social media accounts to share videos speaking about the current economic hardships.

The movement is believed to be in response to a corps member facing heat for speaking against the government while lamenting the economic situation of the country.

Reacting to the “30 days movement”, the woman claiming to be the daughter of an ailing retired police officer said she knows the government will send officers to arrest citizens taking part.

However, she warned the police officers and soldiers to have a rethink against siding with the government against the masses.

She told police officers, soldiers, and thugs that before they allow the government to set them against the youths who are lamenting over economic hardship, they should remember that they too are in Nigeria and suffer the same fate as the masses.

She added that her father served the police for 25 years. He suffered a stroke and brain damage over a year ago, and she said her family has struggled to cover medical bills, selling off land and properties.

She added that the police department only offered them ten thousand Naira.

She told the police to look at the widows of their dead colleagues and see how they are faring. She asked them to also look at their sick colleagues or the children of their colleagues to see how they turned out.

She added that her own father’s children have become wayward and this is the same with the children of many police officers, and she blamed this on the poor state of the country.

“Come and take a look at my dad’s kids, they’re all in rage, they’re going astray because of what… a failed government. They said their dad has been working for this country for years but nothing to show for it,” she said.

She told the police to refuse to accept orders that do not favour the masses.
