Emil Inyang of APC wins Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency election

Dr Emil Inyang of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged winner of the Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency election held on Saturday, February 25, 2023.

Inyang, according to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Monday (February 27) polled a total of 13,998 votes to emerge victorious.

His closest rival, Austine Aidim of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 11,194 votes, while Ejemot William Esu of the Labour Party (LP) came third with total votes of 6,402.

Emil Inyang will take over from Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo (who contested the Cross River South Senate seat) from May 29 and will represent the people of Akamkpa/Biase in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly for the next 4 years.

APC – 13,998
PDP – 11,194
LP – 6,402
