Security operatives have arrested some kidnappers operating in Qua’an Pan Local Government Council of Plateau State.

The Executive Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, confirmed the development to newsmen in a statement signed by Danaan Cletus Sylvanus, his Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Manship also confirmed that the sum of N2,250,000 was recovered from the kidnappers.

The statement read that the Qua’an Pan Local Government chairman has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing security in the region.

This pledge was made during a high-level security operation at Koprume Barracks, Qua’an Pan Local Government, where security agencies successfully apprehended kidnappers and recovered the ransom

During the investigation, it was revealed that the victim, Muhammadu Sani Juli, had a disturbingly familiar connection to the kidnappers, highlighting the complexities of the security challenges faced by the community.

The statement also added that the security agencies demonstrated exceptional professionalism in retrieving the ransom and apprehending the suspects.

In a similar development, security operatives also arrested one person for attacking travellers along Juku Road, Nasarawa State.

He confessed that their operations involved the use of AK-47 rifles.

Chairman Manship urged the security agencies to intensify their efforts to apprehend kidnappers and robbers operating in the area.
