Eugene Henley Jr., also known as Big U, a high-ranking member of the Rollin’ 60s Crips, announced in a video that he is turning himself in to authorities after being charged in a federal RICO indictment.
In an Instagram post, Big U was seen riding in a van with his family, calling the indictment “bull crap” and asking for prayers. He insisted he has only done good over the years and helped elevate his family, dismissing the allegations as “straight trash.” He also expressed gratitude to fans supporting him.
Big U pointed fingers at Wack 100 and 600, claiming they were responsible for his legal troubles. He alleged that 600 was with law enforcement during a raid on his house and accused Wack of working with the FBI and city officials to prevent him from receiving financial support. He also claimed the FBI targets Black men who try to help their communities, calling it the price of being Black and involved in neighborhood upliftment.
Federal documents link Big U to charges of murder, human trafficking, and extortion. Prosecutors allege he was involved in a January 2021 murder in which he and another defendant fatally shot an aspiring rapper in the head before dumping the body in the desert.
At a press conference Wednesday, March 19, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced the arrests of 10 individuals, including part-time rappers Bricc Baby and Luce Cannon. In his video, Big U distanced himself from the two, claiming he does not associate with them and predicting they would testify against him.
Despite the serious charges, Big U maintained his innocence, insisting he did nothing wrong and expects to be cleared of all allegations.
