Full List of Successful Candidates for Air Force Direct Short Service Commission Course (DSSC 33/2024)

Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) wishes to inform the general public that the list of successful candidates for the Direct Short Service Commission Course (DSSC 33/2024) has been published on the official NAF Recruitment Portal.

This was contained in a public announcement signed by Group Captain Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force, on 25th March 2025.

Successful candidates were also instructed by Air Vice Marshal A. H. Bakari on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, to follow instructions from 1 to 10 below:

1. Sequel to the Nigerian Air Force Selection Board Interview conducted from 6 – 26 January 2025 for the Direct Short Service Commission Course (DSSC33/2024), the list of successful candidates whose details appears below are to report to Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Afaka, Kaduna on Wednesday 2 April 2025. Please note that cadets upon admission into the NDA are not employees in training. They shall not claim any form of right or engagement whatsoever as an employee of the Institution or Federal Government of Nigeria upon dismissal or withdrawal from the Academy before commissioning. Any candidate who fails to report by 1800hrs (6:00pm) Monday 7 April 2025 will forfeit the training slot. Selected candidates must come along with the ORIGINALS and photocopies of their credentials which include:

  • a. First School Leaving Certificate.
  • b. NECO/WAEC/NABTEB results.
  • c. Degree/HND Certificate.
  • d. Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age.
  • e. Letter of State of Origin.
  • f. Nigerian Air Force Applicant Acknowledgement Card.
  • g. Signed Attestation of Parent/Guardian Consent Form.
  • h. Local Government Area Attestation Form.

2. Any candidate who fails to present originals of the above stated documents will not be accepted into the Academy. Candidates are also to come along with the following items:

  • a. Two pairs of black and white trousers.
  • b. One lounge suit (dark colour).
  • c. Two belts (preferably black).
  • d. One pair of black cover shoes (males only).
  • e. Two pairs of white canvas shoes.
  • f. Two pairs of white shorts.
  • g. Pyjamas.
  • h. One pair of football boot (males only).
  • i. Three pairs of blue shorts and white round neck vests.
  • j. Two white shirts (long sleeves).
  • k. Four pairs of white socks.
  • l. One black rubber-strapped digital quartz wristwatch.
  • m. Black polish, brushes, shaving kit and toiletries.
  • n. Two white bed sheets and pillow cases for 8 spring bed.
  • o. Black swimming trunk/shirt.
  • p. Personal computer (laptop).
  • q. Pressing iron.
  • r. Six passport photographs.

4. All candidates are encouraged to learn basic swimming skills before reporting for training.

5. Candidates on the reserve list are NOT to report to the Academy unless invited.

6. Selected candidates are not allowed to receive visitors and will not leave the Academy for the first three months of training. Selected candidates and their relatives are to please note the above for strict compliance.

7. All phases of the Nigerian Air Force Recruitment Exercise are completely FREE OF CHARGE.

8. Serving military personnel are to come along with release letters and passes from their commanders.
