Cross River NYCN Chairman Nominates 9 into State Advisory Council

His Youthfulness, Comr. Olayi Emmanuel, NYCN Chairman, Cross River State Chapter

CALABAR – The Cross River State Chapter Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), His Youthfulness Comr. Emmanuel Olayi has approved the nomination of nine persons to the State Advisory Council (SAC).

According to a press release issued by Comr. Melchizedek Okwe, NYCN- CRS Public Relations Officer on Thursday, the nomination is in line with the constitution of the NYCN (2018 as amended).

Among those nominated are Dr Victor-Ogar Ndifon as Chairman, Comr. Eyo Cobham Boco as Deputy Chairman, and Comr. Tony Darlington Ugbe as Secretary.

Others are Comr. Okori Bernard Oko, Member; Comr. Prince Ndiyo Ndiyo, Member; Comr. (Chief) Dan Obo, Member; Engr. Maurice Nkong, Member; Comr. Great Ogban Usetu, Member; and Comr. Gifted Nelson, Member.

The release added that the SAC as constituted will, among other functions “provide mentorship, guidance and support to the State Chairman and the State Executive Council in the accomplishment of desired goals and set objectives of the Comr. Emmanuel Olayi led inclusive exco as enshrined in article 6.2 of the NYCN constitution (2018 as amended).”

It further stated that “Members of the SAC are expected to bring in their ideas, experiences and diverse thoughts on youth development for the growth and development of the youths of Cross River State in a responsive and inclusive environment.

“It is the Chairman’s desire that collectively, with SAC and other organs of the NYCN, a total paradigm shift will be achieved.”

It also noted that “The appointment takes immediate effect.”
