C’River Assembly Member expresses satisfaction with management of UNICAL

Chief Whip of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Hilary Bisong has expressed satisfaction with the management and Staff of the University of Calabar. He disclosed this when he joined many other dignitaries and academic giants at the 36th University of Calabar, UNICA Convocation Lecture.

The Boki II State Constituency Representative and Chairman House Committee on Health further commended the Guest Lecturer, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, who delivered the 36th Convocation lecture with the theme “Harmonising Diversity for National Development.”

The event which took place at the University of Calabar International Conference Centre on Thursday, 21 March 2024, had in attendance, intellectuals and experts from the Academia, Religious and Government officials.

Prominent among guests were; Prof. Ivara Esu, former VC of the University of Calabar and immediate past Deputy Governor of Cross River State; Honourable Commissioner for Education, Senator Dr Stephen Odey; Rev. Fr. Bob Etta, who extolled the great achievements of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Florence Obi.

The host, Prof. Florence Obi who is the VC of UNICAL, thanked the guests, management and staff for making the event a huge success.
