Nigerian Eaglet turns down €500k FK Bodø/Glimt move for Chelsea

18-year-old Nigerian forward, Ibrahim Hafiz Umar is set to join English Premier League side, Chelsea on a permanent deal.

CONVERSEER learned that Hafiz turned down a deal worth €500,000 to join Norwegian side, FK Bodø/Glimt.

According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement was reached with Hafiz’s team, Ojodu City after the youngster impressed at the 2024 Viareggio Cup in Italy.

However, the youngster’s representatives opted for a trial opportunity at Chelsea instead.

“It will be up to Chelsea now, as Hafiz will be on trial for next weeks from Ojodu City Academy,” Romano stated in a tweet on Tuesday.

The agreement for FK Bodø/Glimt to sign Hafiz on a club-to-club deal was reached in February.

Chelsea are currently 11 in the Premier League with 39 points and hoping to secure European football with 11 games remaining.
