ADC Crisis: Nwosu expresses shock as former deputy heads to court after new leadership deal

By Our Reporter

ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – The leadership tussle within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken a fresh turn following revelations from the former National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu. During a recent interview, Nwosu expressed deep confusion over why some members are now fighting the party’s new direction.

Nwosu revealed that the party held over five major meetings within eight months before dissolving the National Working Committee (NWC). This process eventually led to a new team, including David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, taking over the party’s affairs to ensure stability.

According to Nwosu, the former deputy national chairman, Nafiu Bala, was fully involved in these arrangements. He noted that Bala even travelled across the Northeast and Northwest to convince other leaders to support the new coalition.

The shock for many party members came when Bala headed to court on September 2 to challenge the same process he helped build. “He was one of the prominent people throughout; he came to all the meetings,” Nwosu stated, adding that it is puzzling to see someone turn around against a system they actively supported.

The situation has left many supporters feeling uneasy as they hope for a peaceful resolution before the next election cycle.
