The ongoing Akwa Ibom State Executive Council Retreat in Lagos, entered Day Three on Wednesday with the ARISE Agenda in focus.

With Governor Umo Eno, presiding, it featured several sessions with resource persons engaging participants on a wide range of perspectives on “Delivering the ARISE Agenda”.

Among the resource persons were Dr Maxwell Ubah the Chief Executive Officer, Strategy House Limited who opened the floor on ownership, loyalty and accountability in Public Service;

Mayecor Sar a delivery expert in the Tony Blair Institute, charged the retreat with Introduction of Delivery Mechanisms and Performance Tracking; while Dr Linus Okorie, President of the GOTNI Leadership Center led the team on Transformational Leadership and Networking for Results.

There were presentations, review and alignments on the planned Power, Tourism and Corporate Summits  as well  as Public  Service Rules Ethics.

Recall that the Day two on Tuesday, focused prominently on “Opportunities in the Tourism Sector, Unlocking Opportunities in the Agriculture Sector, Strengthening the Power Sector, Akwa Ibom Geographical Information System, Procurement in Government Business”, among others.

Resource Persons from the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and other professionals including Tourism expert, Ben Murray Bruce, Mr Eyo Ekpo- A Senior Adviser at the United Kingdom Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (UKNIAF), took time to brainstorm with the State Government officials on perspectives to easier actualization of the ARISE Agenda of the State.
