The Akron police officer who was previously fired in 2021, has just shot a 15-year-old boy who was carrying around a fake gun.
The Akron Police Department was called after a woman reported a teen pointing guns at homes.
When the officer arrived, he saw the teen with the toy gun and fired a single bullet, hitting 15-year-old Tavion Koonce-Williams in the hand.

“It’s fake! It’s fake, I promise!” Tavion said.
“My hand hurts. Mister, I wanted to be safe! Please, officer, I’m a good kid. Bro, I get A’s in school. I play football. I just wanted to be safe. My cousin just died.”
The officer previously had disciplinary issues including an off-duty incident where he drunkenly “muzzled” his gun toward his girlfriend.
He was also fired in 2021 before being rehired for saying a homophobic slur while searching a car.
