The Government of Cross River State has fixed Wednesday, 17th to Friday, 19th April 2024, for the Pensioners Mop-Up Bank Verification Exercise.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Bassey Otu, on Tuesday, 16th April.
According to the statement, the mop-up exercise is for all state and local government pensioners who have not been paid their pensions.
The statement directed the affected pensioners to visit the underlisted First Bank branches across the state, irrespective of whether they have an account with the bank or not.

“All State and Local Government pensioners who were not paid due to incomplete records from the last BVN verification exercise are hereby informed to visit the following First Bank branches for updates, irrespective of whether they have an account with First Bank or not.
“The branches are:
- First Bank Calabar Road
- First Bank Ekorinim
- First Bank Akamkpa
- First Bank Ugep
- First Bank Obubra
- First Bank Ikom
- First Bank Ogoja
- First Bank Obudu
“The exercise commences on Wednesday, 17th April 2024, and will end on Friday, 19th April 2024.
“Please note that this exercise is not for all pensioners,” the statement read.
