Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, urging residents of the state to continue backing the President over what he described as his commitment to the development of Kano and Nigeria.

Yusuf made the remarks on Wednesday at the Government House in Kano while presenting a Certificate of Return to Shu’aibu Rabi’u Nagogo, the newly elected member of the House of Representatives for Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency.

According to a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Yusuf said the cordial relationship between the Kano State Government and the Federal Government has continued to bring development benefits to the state.

“The people of Kano State have every reason to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His commitment to the development of Kano and Nigeria at large has shown that he deserves overwhelming support from our people,” the governor said.

Yusuf also called on political leaders, stakeholders and supporters in Kano State to remain united and strengthen the partnership between the state and the Federal Government for the benefit of the people.

The governor congratulated Nagogo on his election victory and expressed confidence that he would provide effective representation for the people of Dawakin Kudu and Warawa Federal Constituency.

He further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with the Federal Government to implement policies and programmes aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens in Kano State.
