Rivers United have officially commenced pre-season training ahead of the 2026/2027 football season, DAILY POST reports.
The Port Harcourt club held its first training session at the Garden City Sports Centre on Monday.
Technical Manager Finidi George took charge of the session alongside his assistants.
Rivers United will compete on three fronts in the 2026/27 season. The club will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League, while also pursuing honors in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, and the President Federation Cup.
The Pride of Rivers finished in second position in the NPFL last season.
The club is expected to provide further updates on pre-season fixtures and squad developments in due course.
