Transfer: Trabzonspor close in on Arokodare deal

Tolu Arokodare is closing in on a loan move to Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor from Wolverhampton Wanderers, DAILY POST reports.

The Black Sea Storm are currently in the final stages of negotiations with Wolves for the striker, according to Turkish website Takagazete.

Wolves want Trabzonspor to pay Arokodare’s entire €3.7 million annual salary.

Trabzonspor are desperate to bring in a new striker following Felipe Augusto’s departure to Zenit.

There is also uncertainty surrounding the future of Arokodare’s international teammate, Paul Onuachu.

Onuachu, who was the joint-top top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig last season has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia Professional League outfit, Al Ahli.

Arokodare is expected in Turkey next week Monday to finalise the move.

The 25-year-old joined Wolves from Belgian Pro League club KRC Genk last summer.

The striker scored three goals, and registered one assist in 33 league appearances for the Old Gold.
