Spain head coach, Luis de la Fuente, has claimed that his side are “the best team in the world”.
De La Fuente was speaking to the media after they beat France 2-0 in the semi-final of the 2026 World Cup.
Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro scored in either half as La Roja qualified for the final.
Spain will play either England or Argentina for the trophy in the final.
De La Fuente said: “Today we faced one of the best national teams in the world, but in front of them they had the best team in the world. That is different.
“These players deserve everything – day after day they’ve shown their commitment, their solidarity, their generosity, their talent. They make the difficult look easy.”
