EPL: Arsenal complete signing of Greece winger Christos Tzolis – The Sun Nigeria

Arsenal have completed the signing of Greece international Christos Tzolis from Belgian champions Club Brugge on a long-term contract, strengthening Mikel Arteta’s attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.

The 24-year-old forward arrives in north London after an impressive two-year spell in Belgium, where he established himself as one of the Pro League’s standout performers with 43 goals and 45 assists in 108 appearances across all competitions.

Capable of operating on either wing or across the front line, Tzolis earned widespread recognition for his consistency, helping Club Brugge win the Belgian Cup in 2025 before playing a leading role in their 2025/26 league title triumph. His performances also saw him named Belgian Pro League Player of the Season in consecutive campaigns.

Tzolis began his professional career with Greek side PAOK Thessaloniki, progressing through the club’s academy before making his senior debut in 2020. He played an important role in PAOK’s Greek Cup triumph in 2021, scoring five goals in four matches during the competition.

His performances earned him a move to Norwich City later that year, where he announced himself with two goals and two assists on his debut in a 6-0 Carabao Cup victory over Bournemouth. Although opportunities in England proved limited, productive loan spells at FC Twente in the Netherlands and Fortuna Düsseldorf in Germany helped accelerate his development before his transfer to Club Brugge in 2024.

On the international stage, Tzolis has represented Greece at every major youth level before making his senior debut in October 2020. He has since earned 34 international caps.

Tzolis will wear the No. 17 shirt and has already linked up with his new teammates at Arsenal’s Sobha Realty Training Centre as preparations continue for the 2026/27 campaign.
