Priscilla Ofori, the widow of legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Daddy Lumba, has paid a touching tribute to her late husband by permanently tattooing his portrait on her arm as a symbol of their enduring love and bond.
The emotional revelation was made during a memorial gathering held at Daddy Lumba’s East Legon residence on Saturday to commemorate one year since the iconic musician’s passing.
Family members, close friends, and associates gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of one of Ghana’s most influential musical figures.
Speaking at the ceremony, Priscilla Ofori, affectionately known as Odo Broni, explained that the tattoo represents the cherished memories they shared throughout their marriage and serves as a lasting reminder that her late husband continues to hold a special place in her heart.
Holding up the tattoo, she said, “This is my husband’s picture. Although he is gone, I believe he is still with me.” Her heartfelt words resonated with mourners, many of whom were visibly moved by the emotional tribute.
The memorial formed part of activities marking the first anniversary of Daddy Lumba’s death. The celebrated highlife legend passed away on July 26, 2025, at The Bank Hospital in Accra at the age of 60, leaving behind a rich musical legacy that continues to inspire generations of fans across Ghana and beyond.
