I was kept in cells from 7am to 6pm without food and water- Okatakyie Afrifa

Outspoken media personality and a staunch member of the New Patriotic Party, Okatakyie Afrifa has divulged how the NPP and Ghana Police badly treated him.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Tanko on Lawson TV, Okatakyie Afrifa cleared the air on the viral video that had him handcuffed with blood trickling through his body.

Speaking on what caused that, the media personality shared that “If you saw that I was handcuffed and blood trickling through my body, I didn’t steal, kill anyone, or commit any crime”.

According to him, even though Ghana is an independent country, the people of Sekyere- a town that birthed him are still colonized and are going through hell.

Okatakyie claims even though the chicken is not blamed for the crime committed by the snake, the nose also doesn’t stand unconcerned when the eyes are crying, so, he decided to under the theme “Freedom for Sekyere” to fight to ensure that the aforementioned community gained their freedom.

“The people of Sekyere are still colonized. So, I, Okatakyie have decided to ensure that the people of Sekyere gain their independence back”, he disclosed.

Speaking directly to the viral video, Okatakyie Afrifa shared that he was arrested, mistreated, and beaten up for reasons he is yet to find.

What shocks the media personality most is that, even though he didn’t commit any crime, he was arrested and treated as a criminal, disclosing that he was kept in cells from 7ak to 6pm without food and water, and, with blood all over his body.

“I was kept in cells from 7am to 6pm with blood all over my body. I hadn’t eaten or taken water either”, he sadly recounted.
